Farewell PPC Management! Hello LPO, Web Design, and Development
Recently I quit my job. Wow! you think why would he quit his job in a time of such uncertainty. I’ve jumped into the wonderful world of freelance and I’m quite excited to say it’s awesome. I’m going to help those who are in need of web site usability and landing page optimization.
While we are talking about landing pages, let me just say where Andrew Turn stands on the entire landing page issue. Landing pages are the most important part of your sales online aside from the keywords you use for both organic and paid search. Sure, any John Doe can lead a person to a store but if you don’t have a sales person who can sell or make that person take action, well my friend, you are not going to be as successful as you might think.
I think the most beautiful part of Landing Page optimization, is that, you actually have to convey a message through a grasp of attention that isn’t from a live sales person. I don’t really care for sales people to approach me as I think that they are only concerned with their pay check. A quick example of that is, when you are at any store selling high end goods they go on and and on about buying it now and they are pushy and for all intensive purposes, rude. Back to Landing pages. The thing about landing pages is if they work, you don’t even realize why you are doing whatever it is you are doing, it just felt as though you needed to do it.
I think a lot of people who may read this already know these things, but I can say, if you don’t do this as a job and you stumble upon this, ask yourself this. The last time you made a purchase online or filled out a form? How easy was it, why did you do it there, what was it about the place on this infinite sized web that made you choose that page?
Should anyone stumble upon this who has an “out of the box” store and doesn’t understand why you aren’t selling. Drop me an email, I’ll gladly look at your site.
This new job is fun for me, it’s my goal to help those in need. I still have a lot to learn about all of it though. But I can say that if it’s not fun and you don’t enjoy what you are currently doing. Get out before it’s to late. You aren’t ants people, you are each creative, unique individuals. I know you may feel like an ant now, I know I did, but you are not. So, good luck and I look forward to offering more babble about Pay Per Click, Landing Page Optimization, and Usability.
